The micro-commission was focused on all staff being more involved and aware of the power of one to one activities that are meaningful for residents because they are shaped around their particular interests and experiences. By inspiring and engaging staff, and demonstrating the impact of tailored one to one activity, the aim would be for all staff to take responsibility for finding moments for meaningful one to one activities which they feel confident and empowered to deliver. The aspiration is that, over time, those residents who tend to stay in their rooms and not participate in group activities, would have regular one to one activity.
