Director of Daisi since 2004, Liz leads the organisation in its mission to promote arts and culture within communities. Daisi creates arts and cultural opportunities, connecting people in to local cultural infrastructure, and encouraging and inspiring their own art and culture making in their own places and spaces.
Daisi initiatives support participants’ artistic and creative progression, plus their wider personal and social learning needs. Woven into all Daisi projects are learning and professional development opportunities for teachers, youth
workers, school communities, artists and other partners, strengthening confidence and ability to work effectively with the arts in their own, unique settings.
Annually Daisi collaborates with around 80 professional artists across diverse art forms (including dance, music, visual, literature, theatre, digital), and over 6,000 young people, in and out of school, including the more vulnerable.
